WAYNE CO: Teen Dies In Collision
According to witnesses, the driver of the van lost control and slammed into the back of a semi. The van was carrying five people, including four children.
The boy who was killed has been identified as Dylan Heintzelman. He was pronounced dead at Reid Hospital. Investigators said three other children were taken to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries.
The woman who was driving the van was identified as 44-year-old Susan Koper. Authorities are blaming road conditions for the collision.
Investigators said the family was headed to New Jersey from Muncie, Ind. The driver of the semi suffered facial injuries and was treated and released.
