Trotwood Bank Robbery Suspects Captured

A day after a Trotwood bank was robbed, two people are now in custody.

On Friday morning, working on a tip, members of a federal task force arrested Gbenedio Omoefe in connection with Thursday’s armed robbery at a Fifth-Third bank on East Main Street.

Authorities said minutes after the robbery, Omoefe’s alleged accomplice, Monica Rhoades, was caught. Witnesses said they saw the pair jump out of a black Ford Mustang with red smoke coming out of the car as the dye pack exploded.

At this time, the two have not been formally charged.
