The 911 caller told dispatchers that three children also were involved with the crash before handing the phone to another person, who told dispatchers that the children were fine.
Although the callers originally said they believed the adults were dead, they later said that they were breathing. However, one of the victims, a woman, suffered a serious leg injury.
Records said that three medic units were dispatched to the scene.
