“These store closures resulted from our regular process of strategic real estate review,” UDF spokeswoman Tamara Krueger said. All affected employees “were offered continued employment at UDF,” Krueger said.
The transition affects two stores in Kettering — at 901 E. Dorothy Lane and at 1901 W. Stroop Road — as well as stores at 4700 Linden Ave. in Riverside, 1820 Wyoming St. in Dayton and at 485 W. National Road in Englewood. The stores tentatively are operating under the name Dayton Dairy Farm, or DDF, the spokesman for the new ownership said.
The sale was finalized earlier this month, and the stores reopened under new ownership within two days.
