Violent Crime Down At Northland Village Apartments

One year after Montgomery County received a grant to post deputies at the Northland Village Apartments, statistics show that it is working.

Violent crime has dropped drastically over the last year. During the year from July 2008-July 2009, there were two homicides and 10 shootings.

Since the grant money came through, there have not been any homicides and only two shootings.

The grant from the Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority was extended for another year.
