What are those bright lights in the sky?

This part of the Midwest had a couple of bright lights overhead early Wednesday morning, and while not alien, they were interesting to see.

One of those lights is planet Venus. The second planet from the sun has been visible for awhile now, but it’s currently in a stage in which it appears bright from earth.

Venus looks similar to a star, but it’s exceptionally brighter. In fact, it is the second brightest object in the sky every night, with the moon being the brightest.

That other bright object in the sky is the International Space Station. Thursday morning, it will again be visible in the Miami Valley and Southwest Ohio.

Starting at 6:34 a.m. and visible for four minutes, the space station will travel from the northwest to the east-northeast.
