Woman sentenced in murder-for-hire plot

A Warren County woman who admitted to trying to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband has been sent to prison.

Heather Boling, 29, of Pleasant Plain, was sentenced to four years in prison today by Warren County Common Pleas Judge Donald E. Oda II. She was given 215 days for time served and five years probation when released from prison.

Boling was arrested in July for hiring a hit man in Indianapolis using Facebook, according to Warren County Sheriff’s detectives. Indianapolis police contacted the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and they set up a sting operation.

Working with the investigator from Indianapolis, Boling was put in contact with a Warren County detective who posed as a hit man. After speaking with Boling, the detective set up a meeting with her at the Premium Outlet Mall in Monroe.

After an exchange of money was complete, detectives and agents from the Warren County Drug Task Force made the arrest.

Boling was charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated murder, indicted by a grand jury on the charge and pleaded guilty in November to that charge.
