WSU Announces Major Investment In Aerospace Industry

Wright State University announced Monday a major investment for Ohio's Aerospace Industry.

Ohio will invest more than $11 million to get the Jobs of Tomorrow Aerospace programs, and WSU will lead the new initiative.

Funding will increase the amount of research needed to create high-quality aerospace and defense jobs in the region.

Wright State President David R. Hopkins said, "We want to make sure we're doing the best we can for the student and families that attend the Ohio system of higher education to make sure they're prepared, if they desire to work in the industry, that we're preparing the best we can."

The program is centered at Wright State, but other colleges around the state are participating.
