"Dick"

79, of New Carlisle, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021. He was born April 21, 1942, in Troy, the son of the late Glen "Bill" and Eda Finfrock. Dick was an entrepreneur at heart, founding and operating several local businesses, including Finfrock Appliance Services for 40 years, Pizza Plus Drive Thru in New Carlisle, and Liberty Nursery and Christmas Tree Farm, to name a few. Dick's

passion was his horses and harness racing. His strong work ethic was a legacy he proudly passed on to his children. Dick was baptized at Asbury United Methodist Church, where he also taught Sunday School and later would attend church services with his family at Home Road Nazarene. He took pride in serving his local community and had served as the Mayor of Lawrenceville. Dick is survived by his daughters Suzette McDougall, April Chandler, Dawn (Daniel) Haack and Amanda Finfrock; life partner Beverly Gladman; brothers John (Dottie) Finfrock and David (Vivian) Finfrock; grandchildren Ashley McDougall, Taylor McDougall, Cooper Haack and Caitlin Haack; beloved dog Gracie; numerous nieces and nephews. He will forever be remembered for his sentimental and loving heart, famous red hat, $2 bills, always helping others, hosting family gatherings, taking Gracie everywhere, and would always say "call me when you get home." The funeral to honor Dick will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, OH, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery. A reception to celebrate his life will begin at 4:00 PM located at The Retreat at Evans Farms, 1892 Liberty Road, New Carlisle, OH.
