SHERMAN, Marilyn E.

Marilyn E. Sherman was born in Botkins, Ohio, to Alfred and Barbara Bensman Hutt.

Married June 15, 1957, to

Robert Sherman who survives her in Oxford. Marilyn retired from Miami University after her accounting roles in the

Bursars Office and later in the Shriver Center. She was a longtime docent at Miami University Art Museum having graduated with an art degree from

Miami later in life. She was also a member of the Antiques Group, McCullough Hyde Memorial Auxiliary, and also

belonged to St. Mary's Church in Oxford where she served in many volunteer roles throughout her 53 years in Oxford. She is survived by her children, Tamyra (Roger) Young, Melanie (Rich) Stupak, and Van (Kay) Sherman. Her grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Young, Melissa (Kevin) McGowan, Nicholas Young, Kristina (Jason) Rust, and Jonathan (Emily) Stupak and her great-grandchildren, Liam and Haley McGowan. She is

also survived by her sisters Bernice Kiser, Mary Ellen O'Brien, and many nieces and nephews.
