š Raising Caneās
Raising Caneās Chicken Fingers, the Louisiana-based restaurant company, opened Oct. 30 at 4384 Indian Ripple Road across from The Greene in Beavercreek. It is Raising Caneās 400th restaurant system-wide.
This is the chainās second Dayton-area restaurant. A Raising Caneās opened on Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Washington Twp. in early 2017, to an enthusiastic response that occasionally prompted traffic backups on the busy street.
Hours of operation at Beavercreekās new Raising Caneās are Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to midnight. The restaurant is the 28th in Ohio.
š Curry & Grill
The Dayton areaās newest full-service Indian restaurant opened Oct. 8 across from the Dayton Mall.
Curry & Grill, which specializes in the cuisine of northern India, is located at 39 Fiesta Lane, at the intersection of Ohio 741 and Ohio 725 just west of the mall.
Curry & Grill General Manager Angie Cohorn and Shahzan Kabir, the restaurantās chef who honed his skills in England for 20 years, said all dishes are made fresh to order. The menu includes several curry and biryani dishes as well as specialties from the Tandoor oven, with chicken, lamb, seafood, goat and vegetarian options. Tandoor oven entrees include Lobster saute, Lamb Boti Kabob and Grilled Quail. Naan and other specialty breads as well as desserts are available.
š Little CaesarsĀ
The Miami Valleyās pizza war escalated further on Oct. 18 with the opening of another restaurant.
This time it was Little Caesars, which opened its second new Dayton-area restaurant in the last five months, at 832 S. Main St. (Ohio 48) in Centerville, according to Frank J. Sanchez, CEO of Apple Dough LLC, a franchisee for Little Caesars restaurants in the region.
The newest Little Caesars occupies space that previously housed Papa Murphyās Pizza.
š„¤ Billie Gold Bubble TeaĀ
Daytonās newest food truck, a mobile unit called Billie Gold Bubble Tea has been launched by Nicole Cornett, co-owner of Cloak & Dagger Tattoo Studio in Dayton and of a Salon Lofts salon in the Town & Country shopping center in Kettering, and her husband, Britton Asbury, co-owner of the tattoo studio.
Billie Gold Bubble Tea offers a variety of bubble-tea beverages, including a signature drink called the Rose Gold, described in a release as āa sweet and refreshing coconut milk teaā with rose, tapioca balls and cold-brew coffee from Press coffee shop in Dayton.
Treats from Cakes By Cookie are available for purchase, including a pastry that is similar to a vegan Twinkies. Most Billie Gold items are vegan and gluten-free friendly, its founders said in a release.
