2 new restaurants to try this weekend (and 1 more opening soon)

There’s nothing we love more than a new place to eat. With that, here are two fantastic new restaurants to try this weekend -- and two more to watch for.

One of the most eagerly-anticipated this year, the family-owned Vietnamese restaurant is serving soups, sandwiches, noodle dishes, rice dishes, stir-fried lo mein and a wide variety of appetizers.

Amar India has opened a second location, this one serving the northern half of Montgomery County. Enjoy appetizers, breads, vegetarian and traditional meat dishes. The original Amar India is located at 2751 Miamisburg-Centerville Road near the Dayton Mall.

At Mike’s Nashville Hot, guests can set the spice level on their chicken, from traditional to Yankee Mild to Midwest Medium to Southern Heat to Nashville Hot, the spiciest level. The menu also includes salads and sides such as Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Hash Brown Casserole and Sweet Potato Fries. Desserts include Apple Cobbler and DLM Killer Brownie.

MAYBE

A potential restaurant and grocery store is in the works in the Spin-Kemp center in Riverside, according to state records and Riverside officials. A limited-liability corporation doing business as “La Guadalupana” has applied to the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Liquor Control for a license to serve alcohol at 5450 Burkhardt Road.
