Tecumseh High School graduate and former Akron Zips pitcher J.T. Brubaker was added to the 40-man roster of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Nov. 20.

Brubaker, 25, was named the PIrates' minor league pitcher of the year in 2018. He was 8-4 with a 3.10 ERA in 22 starts for the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians. In five seasons in the minors, he's 29-27 with a 3.68 ERA.
