Bengals WR Core hurt on final play of practice

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Cody Core suffered a lower left leg injury on the final play of practice Wednesday.

Core was blocking downfield on a screen pass when he suffered the injury. Two teammates tried to hold him up before he fell to the turf writhing in pain.

A cart carried him off the field and took him in for x-rays, and the session ended at that point without the standard post-practice stretching.

Core caught 17 passes for 200 yards last year as a rookie, with most of his action coming after A.J. Green went down with a season-ending hamstring injury.
