The Cincinnati Bengals today signed free agent defensive end Anthony Zettel.
Zettel has played in 44 career games (16 starts), totaling 70 tackles and 7 1/2 sacks.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound fourth-year pro was waived by the Cleveland Browns on cutdown day prior to this season. He spent 2018 with the Browns and the 2016-17 seasons with the Detroit Lions.
To make room for Zettel, the Bengals waived halfback Samaje Perine, who joined the Bengals Sept. 1 as a waiver acquisition from the Washington Redskins. He played in all six games for the Bengals and made four special teams tackles.
