Multiple media outlets have reported Brian Price will return to the Cincinnati Reds next year as manager.
Clear Channel radio host Chick Ludwig posted on his Facebook page that Price and the entire coaching staff will be retained, citing an announcement from Reds announcer Marty Brennaman during tonight’s Reds game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Price was pitching coach under former Reds manager Dusty Baker, the two led the team to three playoff appearances. Price replaced Baker in 2014. His record is 266-355. The Reds finished fourth in the National League Central his first season as manager, and last place every year since.
