Centerville won the Division I state championship when Rolf was a junior and lost in the state championship game this past season.
Rolf had offers from Miami, Toledo, Radford and many other schools. Charlotte offered him a scholarship in March. He’ll join a Charlotte program that finished 17-14 last season, the fourth for head coach Ron Sanchez.
Centerville’s roster this past season also included Tom House, a 2022 recruit who has signed with Florida State and Gabe Cupps, a 2023 guard who has committed to Indiana. Cupps won Ohio’s Mr. Basketball Award this year.

Our guy Rich Rolf tweeting his decision on where he is attending. There is no more deserving kid. Congrats to the University of North Carolina Charlotte. The 49ers are getting a tremendous player but a better kid! #RichRolfDecision pic.twitter.com/RyaYSTpeCZ
