The Cincinnati native did not rule out some day managing the Reds when asked Tuesday in Arizona.

The Reds, of course, have a manager already in Bryan Price, but the prospect of Larkin assuming that role some day was enough to excite Reds fans — especially two well-known former Ohio State football players from the Dayton area.
After Piqua’s Matt Finkes said Larkin becoming manager would inspire him to buy season tickets again, Centerville standout Kirk Herbstreit chimed in on Twitter.

After starring at Moeller High School and the University of Michigan, Larkin spent all 19 of his seasons in the big leagues wearing a Reds uniform.
After working for the Washington Nationals and ESPN, he returned to the Reds organization as a roving minor-league infield instructor in 2015.
Cincinnati begins Cactus League play Friday against the Indians.
