About Wright State: The Raiders lost 68-61 at Youngstown on Jan. 23 and beat the Penguins 72-45 just six days ago at the Nutter Center. That was the Raiders' highest-scoring game since an 83-76 loss to Detroit on Jan. 30. They have scored more than 70 points four times in non-overtime games. … Wright State is 13-17 all-time in Horizon League tournament play. Since winning the tournament in 2007, it has lost twice in the quarterfinals (2008, 2011) and semifinals (2009, 2010) and once in the first round (2012). … Coach Billy Donlon said the chances of injured forward Cole Darling playing are very slim. He said Darling is probably done for the season because of his injured foot.
About Youngstown State: The Penguins beat Loyola 62-60 on Tuesday on a shot by Cole with two seconds left. Belin and Allen each scored 15 in the game. The starters scored all the points, and four players saw a total of 11 minutes off the bench. Cole and Allen each played all 40 minutes. … Youngstown is 3-12 in Horizon League tournament play. That's the worst record among the nine league schools. It lost in the first round four years in a row before beating Green Bay 77-60 last season. It then lost 93-76 to Detroit in the quarterfinals. … The Youngstown Vindicator reported after Tuesday's game that coach Jerry Slocum "all but ruled Kendrick Perry out" for today's game. Perry, a first-team All-Horizon League guard and the team's leading scorer with 16.9 points per game, hasn't played since Feb. 17 because of a knee injury. Donlon said he thinks Perry will play tonight.
Coach Billy Donlon on Youngstown State: "They played Loyola without Kendrick Perry, and they won. They're more than capable of playing well without him. Eargle is a really good player. Belin is a really good player. Cole has emerged, and I'm not saying that just because he made the game-winner. Certainly, Blake Allen can score. They have weapons."
