Miami men's hoops promotes Lallathin

OXFORD — Lakota West High School graduate Jimmy Lallathin has been promoted to assistant men’s basketball coach at Miami University, head coach Charlie Coles announced Thursday, July 1.

Lallathin has been with the RedHawks for three seasons, joining the Miami staff in August, 2007 as the administrative assistant. He was named as the program’s director of operations in July, 2008.

The native of West Chester joined the Miami program after a four-year stint as the associate varsity head coach at Lakota West. He also was a three-year starter for the Firebirds and was named All-Greater Miami Conference as a junior and senior.
