Dayton Flyers add three walk-ons to roster for 2019-20 season

The Dayton Flyers men’s basketball roster was updated Thursday with the addition of one walk-on, and two more walk-ons were officially added to the roster on Tuesday, four days before the season opener against Indiana State.

Drew Swerlein, a 6-foot redshirt freshman guard from St. Francis de Sales High School in Perrysburg, Ohio, was the first walk-on to join the roster. He was on the bench Saturday when Dayton played Cedarville University in an exhibition game and played the final three minutes, scoring two points at the foul line.

Swerlein joined junior guard Camron Greer and redshirt sophomore guard Christian Wilson, the team’s two returning walk-ons.

On Tuesday, UD announced two more walk-ons had made the team: Jared Becker, a 6-4 freshman from Moeller, and Sean Loughran, a 6-3 freshman from Mount Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh.
