Dayton offers scholarships to pair of players from Long Island Lutheran

The Dayton Flyers offered scholarships to two players from Long Island Lutheran (N.Y.), the high school announced Saturday.

Tyson Etienne, a 6-foot-1 point guard in the class 2019, received one offer. Cincinnati and Minnesota are among the other schools recruiting him.

The other offer went to Andre Curbelo, a 6-0 point guard in the class of 2020. Curbelo, a native of Puerto Rico, has recently received offers from St. John’s and Illinois.

Dayton is also recruiting a senior from Long Island Lutheran: Frankie Policelli, a 6-foot-8 small forward. The Flyers have one scholarship open in 2018.
