Lima Senior, Wayne win Warriors Invite team titles

Lima Senior won the girls team title and the host Wayne boys did the same in Tuesday’s Wayne Warriors High School track and field invitational at Heidkamp Stadium in Huber Heights.

DUNBAR, DPS: Await OHSAA ruling

Lima Senior outdistanced runner-up Wayne 91-69.5 to win the girls championship. Northmont (68.5) was third. Wayne beat runner-up Dunbar 106.5-81 to win the boys title. Like its girls, Northmont (69) also was third.

PASSING: Dayton City League coaching icon Mike Haley dies

There were two meet records set, both by Lima Senior girls. The Spartans reset the 4x400-meter relay record (4:04.98) and also the two-man shot put relay (73-6.25).

BASEBALL: High school games at Fifth Third Field

Other meets scheduled for this week are the Miami East Invite at 5:30 p.m. Friday and the Cedarville Impson Invite at 9 a.m. Saturday.
