Dutch Lions leave Canada with no wins

Despite holding a 15-4 shot advantage in the game, the Dayton Dutch Lions suffered a second consecutive defeat on Sunday, July 11, dropping a 2-0 decision against the host Toronto Lynx.

The loss, which followed a 2-1 defeat against first-place Forest City London two days earlier, dropped the Dutch Lions’ record to 6-3-5 in the Central Conference’s Great Lakes Division in the Premier Development League.

Trailing 1-0 for most of the game, the Dutch Lions had a goal negated by a handball call in the 60th minute before Toronto scored its second goal in the 82nd minute.

The Dutch Lions have two games remaining, against the visiting Kalamazoo Outrage on Saturday and on the road against the Chicago Fire on July 24.
