“We’re fortunate to have very talented athletes all over our team and quarterback is one of those positions,” Ullery said. “We also have competition at every position and we’re fortunate to guys who are pushing each other every day.”
That’s what summer camp is all about for coaches and players, a chance to open some eyes and get some playing time on Friday nights.
“We do have some guys stepping up,” senior linebacker Dylan Hiltbrunner said. “We’ve pulled up two freshmen this year because they have some athletic talent...and those guys have been stepping up.”
The Elks open with four straight home games, starting August 24th against Fairfield.
