Rudolf was a Division II district qualifier in swimming his senior year at Fenwick. He qualified in the 100 breaststroke and also was part of the district-qualifying 400 freestyle relay team.
In the Greater Catholic League, Rudolf placed second in the 100 breast and fourth in the 100 fly to earn a spot on the GCL all-star second team.
Rudolf went to Valparaiso to play baseball, but redshirted his freshman season and currently is not listed on the 2010-11 baseball roster.
Men’s soccer
• Kevin Jones (Fenwick) recently completed his final season as a member of the Transylvania University men’s soccer team.
In Jones’ four years as a defender, Transylvania compiled a record of 58-18-9 with 41 shutouts.
Jones was twice honored as an All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference first-team player, as well as being named to the Great Lakes All-Region team as a senior.
• Transylvania’s Jake Ruckman (Monroe) joined Jones by being named to the HCAC second team.
Football
• Taylor University junior linebacker Garrett Wheeler (Middletown Christian) and senior quarterback Shaun Addison (Lebanon) were recently named as honorable mention players in the Mid-States Football Association Mideast League.
Women’s indoor track
• Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Emily Amburgey (Preble Shawnee) claimed one first-place and two second-place finishes at the First Glimpse Indoor track meet on Saturday.
Amburgey won the women’s high jump at 5 feet, 31/4 inches. She was runner-up in the long jump and the 55-meter hurdles.
