Petras Padegimas enters transfer portal after one season with Dayton Flyers

Dayton Flyers freshman forward Petras Padegimas entered his name in the transfer portal on Monday, according to a source.

Padegimas, of Lithuania, became the third Dayton player in the last month to enter the portal. Fourth-year guard Kobe Elvis entered the portal on Saturday. Zimi Nwokeji entered the portal on March 18, the first day it opened.

With Padegimas departing, Dayton has three open scholarships on the 2024-25 roster. More spots could open up if DaRon Holmes II starts his professional career or if other players enter the portal.

Padegimas averaged 1.1 points in 7.9 minutes per game in 25 games in one season at Dayton. He missed six games with an illness in January. He played a total of 14 minutes in two NCAA tournament games.

Padegimas committed to Dayton last July. He picked UD over Brigham Young and Boston College. He signed a letter of intent with Central Florida the previous November but decommitted on May 26.
