High school basketball: Tri-Village standout makes college decision

Rylee Sagester has made her college choice.

The Tri-Village basketball standout recently announced she will continue her career at Marshall University.

A 5-6 guard in the class of 2023, Sagester was a first-team All-Southwest District pick last season when she averaged 17.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

“Thank you to all the coaches who have recruited me,” she wrote in a message on social media. “It has been such a blessing to get to know you and build relationships. I am beyond excited to announce I have committed to Marshall University to continue my academic and athletic career.”

She also thanked her family, coaches, trainers, teammates and the entire Tri-Village community for support she has received over the years.

High school basketball practice for girls is set to begin this week with games beginning Nov. 19.
