Coach K, Calipari watch Kennard score 41 points

Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Kryzyzewski and Kentucky coach John Calipari were in attendance to watch Franklin junior Luke Kennard drop 41 points and 18 rebounds in the Wildcats’ 89-51 win over Eaton in boys basketball Friday.

Evan Crowe added 24 points and Jake Daniels had 10 for Franklin (6-0).

Miamisburg 83, Fairborn 79: Wes Birchmeier went 9 of 10 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to help seal the win for Miamisburg (4-2). Jordan Michael poured in 27 points for Fairborn (2-3) in a losing effort.

Beavercreek 65, Fairmont 52: Airius Moore tallied 22 points and Tyler Reasoner added 12 to help Beavercreek (7-0) remain unbeaten.

Xenia 69, Lebanon 53: Brent Bauer led Xenia (4-3) with 23 points.

Springboro 79, West Carrollton 37: Jordan Rigg and John Byrne had 12 points apiece to lead Springboro (2-3).

Vandalia 53, Troy 37: Nnamdi Anene paced Vandalia (2-6) with 13 points and Adam Ney added 11.

Dunbar 68, Winton Woods 47: Terrance Landers led Dunbar (6-1) with 14 points and William Green had 12.

Ponitz 71, Jefferson 52: Darrian Burns tallied 11 points with 18 rebounds and Troy Cantrell added 16 points with 9 rebounds for Ponitz (4-1).

Chaminade Julienne 51, Carroll 48: Alan Vest hit two 3-pointers in the final minute, including the game-winner with 2 seconds to play. Myo Baxter led CJ with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Fenwick 52, Alter 48: Kevin Christie scored 22 points and Frank Catrine added 16 for Fenwick (5-2). Alter (2-3) was led by Michael Schwieterman with 19.

Carlisle 102, Valley View 71: Gideon Cunningham and Daulton Butler each chipped in 21 points to lead Carlisle (5-1).

Bellbrook 67, Brookville 55: Josh Schumacher paced Bellbrook (4-1) with 19 points and Austin Hall added 15.

Monroe 48, Oakwood 42: Chris Sloneker scored 17 points for Monroe (3-3) and Grant Pepper tallied 17 for Oakwood (1-5).

Troy Christian 74, Emmanuel Christian 39: Grant Zawadzki tallied 26 points and Spencer Thomas added 22 for Troy Christian (5-1).

Bethel 58, National Trail 43: Christian Pfledderer led unbeaten Bethel (5-0) with 24 points and Patrick Bain added 18.

Tri-Village 70, Twin Valley South 41: Tyler Cook led Tri-Village (5-0) with 30 points.

Tri-County North 49, Ansonia 48: Austin Hutchins scored 22 points to help TCN (4-3) edge Ansonia (1-4). Nick Peters tallied 15 points in a losing effort.

Arcanum 71, Newton 46: Mason Garber and Colin Habel had 14 points apiece for Arcanum.

Miami East 50, Covington 46: Damien Mackesy paced Miami East (3-2) with 12 points.

Greeneview 54, West Liberty-Salem 44: Dalton Caudill led Greeneview (3-3) with 18 points.

Fort Loramie 62. Botkins 28: Craig Fullenkamp tallied 13 points for Fort Loramie.
