Cole reaches milestone for Twin Valley South

Wes Cole scored his 1,000th career point in Twin Valley South’s 63-34 boys basketball win over Bradford on Friday.

Cole tallied 28 points, 23 in the first half, to lead the Panthers (13-5).

Wayne 71, Northmont 42: Wayne (15-3) rebounded from Saturday's 65-60 loss to Wilmington with a win over Northmont (8-10).

Springboro 63, Miamisburg 42: Bryce Crosen scored 14 points and Alec Holtrey added 11 for Springboro (9-9). Adam Giles led Miamisburg (8-10) with 23 points.

Greenville 72, Vandalia 58: Clay Guillozet tallied 25 points and Aaron Balsbaugh added 21 for Greenville (13-3). Torin Fletcher had 15 points for Vandalia (1-16).

Piqua 70, Sidney 64: Colton Bachman paced Piqua (9-9) with 26 points. Cameron Gallimore had 24 points for Sidney (8-11).

Oakwood 48, Bellbrook 24: Oakwood (12-6), led by Michael Hoecht with 22 points, went on a 21-5 run to take control.

Eaton 48, Valley View 47: Trey Smith paced Eaton (6-11) with 17 points. Tyler Whiteman led Valley View (6-11) with 20 points.

Carlisle 64, Dixie 51: Daulton Butler scored 20 points for Carlisle (17-2). Devin Worley led Dixie (5-15) with 11.

Milton-Union 55, Waynesville 45: Matt Brumbaugh tallied 16 points for Milton-Union (6-11). Troy Black had 12 points for Waynesville (3-15).

Carroll 40, Fenwick 33: David Ivey tallied 14 points to lead Carroll (13-5).

Spg. Shawnee 62, Stebbins 55: Jaden Greenwood paced Shawnee (12-5) with 22 points. Mark Akridge scored 24 points for Stebbins (6-11).

Tri-Village 82, Covington 71: Tri-Village improved to 17-0.

Franklin-Monroe 56, Tri-County North 48: Daniel Wiseman led Franklin-Monroe with 16 points. Ryan McAdams scored 29 points in a losing effort for Tri-County North.

Troy Christian 74, Arcanum 45: K.C. Kamentz tallied 14 points and Chris Landrum II and Grant Zawadzki each had 13 to lead five players in double-digit scoring for Troy Christian (17-2).

Russia 54, Jackson Center 50: Jordan Gariety led Russia (15-3) with 16 points and Gavin Hoying added 13. Gavin Wildermuth scored 16 points for Jackson Center (13-4).

Versailles 69, Coldwater 53: Kyle Ahrens poured in 42 points for Versailles. Dylan Thobe led Coldwater with 16 points.

St. Henry 71, New Bremen 61: Ryan Mikesell tallied 19 points with 12 rebounds and Evan Prenger added 16 points for St. Henry. Carson Manger scored 28 points in a losing effort.

New Knoxville 58, Parkway 51: Jalen Fullenkamp paced New Knoxville with 32 points. Tanner Bates had 20 points for Parkway.

Minster 64, Fort Recovery 54, OT: Matthew Trushaw tallied 26 points and Minster went on a 14-4 run in overtime to seal the win.

Girls basketball

Centerville 67, Scott County (Ky.) 58: Shannon Coffee scored 28 points and Victoria Harrison added 12 for Centerville (16-3).

Swimming

The Oakwood boys and girls both took first place at the Southwestern Buckeye League conference championships held at Trotwood-Madison High School.
