Fairborn’s Hannaford hits career milestone

Dominique Redmon scored 15 points to lead Fairborn High School to a 43-35 win over Lebanon in girls basketball Saturday. It was the 100th career victory for Fairborn coach Steve Hannaford.

Alexis Gassion and Kayla Patterson each scored nine. Leah Perry led Lebanon (11-8) with eight.

It was the 11th consecutive win for Fairborn (18-2), which hasn’t lost since December.

Springboro 47, Miamisburg 35: Springboro outscored Miamisburg 20-8 in the first half and shot 15-of-19 from the free throw line in the game.

Kelly Worth led Springboro (14-4) with 16. Morgan Glodowski scored 14 while Jenny DeGraaf had 13.

Carlisle 46, Northridge 30: Carlisle put the game away with a 12-4 run in the fourth.

Taylor Downing led Carlisle (6-14) with 11. Markesha Watson scored 17 for Northridge (4-16).

Centerville 73, Northmont 36: Shannon Coffee had 17 for Centerville (19-1). Alex Henning scored 15.

Brittany Edwards had 11 points, 12 rebounds for Northmont (3-17).

Tri-Village 73, Brookville 49: Senior Shaye Thomas led the Patriots (18-1) with 23 including her 1,000th career point. Krystal Falknor added 20. Sidney Cera led the Blue Devils (13-7) with 16 points.

Eaton 45, Oakwood 31: Danielle Karns paced the Eagles (17-4) with 18 points, eight rebounds and Kasey Titkemeyer added 12.

Bellbrook 69, Franklin 35: Gabrielle Etter and Chea Taylor each scored 12 points for the host Eagles (16-2).

Boys basketball

Springfield 64, Tippecanoe 43: Springfield shot 10-of-12 from the free throw line.

Ryan Minney led Springfield (11-8) with 17. Daeshawn Jackson and John Carson each scored 12. Sean Burroughs had three points, five blocks and nine rebounds.

Nick Fischer led Tipp (14-4) with 11. Sean Ford scored 10.

Carroll 51, Bellbrook 41: Jake Johnson led Carroll (9-1) with 16. Brenten Dickerson had 13 points, 16 rebounds.

Rob Hisey led Bellbrook (8-9) with 12. Doug Rasch and Austin Hall each scored 10.

Northridge 61, Ponitz 54: Britain Lisby led Northridge (8-9) with 17. Dareion Dunson had 12 while Nate Jackson scored 10.

Darren Burns scored 15 for Ponitz. Edmund Parker scored 12, Daylan Lanier had 10.

Tri-County North had 51, Ansonia 41: Austin Hutchins scored 20 to lead Tri-County North (6-13). Billy Derringer had 11.

Logan Moody led Ansonia (3-15) 13.

Valley View 69, Dixie 57: Zach Denny led Valley View (12-5) with 32. Luke Bowling scored 22 for Dixie (11-8).

Oldsmar Christian (Fla.) 71, Miami Valley 62: The game was part of the Huntington Prep Tri-State Classic in West Virginia.

Miami Valley was out-scored 23-10 in the third quarter. Brandon Watson led Miami Valley (11-8) with 26. Harrison Smith had 14 while Trevon Baker had 10.

Oldsmar Christian featured four D-I college recruits.

Dunbar 80, Jefferson 50: Amos Harris scored 17 to lead Dunbar (15-4). William Green had 16, Damarion Geter had nine points, 12 rebounds.

Nate Sheppard led Jefferson with 19.

Miami East 38, Graham 33: Luke House had 15 points, six rebounds and three assists for Miami East (11-6). The Vikings shot 18-of-25 from the free throw line for the game and 10-of-14 in the fourth quarter.

Troy Christian 62, Houston 43: Grant Zawadzki led Troy Christian with 18. Jesse Phlipot scored 11 for Houston (8-11).
