GIRLS SOCCER
MONROE 6, CARLISLE 1: Monroe closed out its regular season with a Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division win. The Hornets were led by Carley Williams with two goals. Jazmine Wells, Taylor Lambert, Makenzie Sullivan and Alicia Nelson each had one goal, and Sarah Brown had two assists. Ashlee Wheeler scored the Carlisle goal on a penalty kick. Monroe is 10-5-1 overall and 8-3-1 in the league; Carlisle dropped to 7-8 overall.
PREBLE SHAWNEE 9, NORTHRIDGE 1: Taylor Fultz scored four goals in leading Preble Shawnee to a SWBL Buckeye win. Cassie Crawford had two goals, while Brittany Wilson, Kaitlyn Ketring and Brynnan Colby each had one. Wilson also had three assists for the Arrows (8-5-2, 5-5-2 SWBL Buckeye).
EDGEWOOD 5, MT. HEALTHY 0: Kayla Harmon, Malynda Messer, Cassie Schumacher, Haylee Hall and Kaylee Gegenkamp each scored one goal as Edgewood won a Fort Ancient Valley Conference Scarlet Division match over Mt. Healthy. Taylor Wray and Sara Hannon combined in goal for the shutout. The Cougars (7-5-2, 2-2-1 FAVC Scarlet) travel to Middletown today.
TROY CHRISTIAN 9, MIDDLETOWN CHRISTIAN 1: Karla Yanes scored the only goal for Middletown Christian in a Metro Buckeye Conference loss to Troy Christian. MCS fell to 7-8-1 on the season.
VALLEY VIEW 2, BELLBROOK 1: Emily Salyer scored the game-winning goal as Valley View defeated Bellbrook. The Spartans improved to 9-5.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
ALTER 3, FENWICK 2: Fenwick lost for just the fourth time this season as host Alter won in five games 25-23, 23-25, 15-25, 25-15, 15-10. Alyssa Beck led the Falcons with 18 kills and 15 digs. Chelsea Byrge (41 assists), Kristin Thompson (10 kills) and Jessica Levy (16 digs) also contributed for Fenwick (17-4, 9-1 Girls Greater Cincinnati League Grey North Division).
