Jones, Landers among Ohio State players to earn All-Big Ten honors

Defensive awards announced Tuesday, and offensive awards will come out Wednesday

Jones leads the defense with 12.0 tackles for loss, including 7.5 sacks. He has 36 tackles.

Wayne grad Robert Landers, a redshirt junior defensive tackle, earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention.

The defensive awards were announced Tuesday night on the Big Ten Network. The offensive awards and the freshman of the year award will be announced at 6 p.m. Wednesday on the Big Ten Network.

Defensive end Chase Young and safety Jordan Fuller made the second team. Sophomore punter Drue Chrisman also made the second team.

Also receiving honorable mentions were: defensive lineman Jonathan Cooper; linebackers Tuf Borland, Malik Harrison and Pete Werner; and cornerbacks Damon Arnette, Jeffrey Okudah and Kendall Sheffield.

Defensive end Nick Bosa, who left the team after suffering an injury in the Texas Christian game, also earned an honorable mention.

Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald was named Big Ten Coach of the Year.
