Here’s a look at what’s going on around area tracks:

Kil-Kare Speedway: Tipp City driver Jamie Sites pulled off a pair of feature victories last week by winning the modified and sport stock divisions. He'll attempt the feat again Friday as Kil-Kare hosts the NASCAR Whelen All-American late models, modifieds, sport stocks and compacts. Germantown's Bill Burba leads the late model points after last week's victory.

Kil-Kare Dragway: The points chase in the NHRA-sanctioned Summit racing series begins on Kil-Kare's straight track Saturday. West Carrollton's Ken Sullivan (Super Pro), Medway's Michael Nugent (Pro Motorcycle) and Beavercreek's Caleb Ellison (Jr. Dragsters) were among last week's winners.

Edgewater Sports Park: Hamilton's Michael Needham celebrated last week's opening with a victory in the Super Pro division. He goes for No. 2 in Summit racing series on Saturday.

Eldora Speedway: The Saturday Night Speedfest offers a tripleheader of UMP DIRTcar modifieds, stocks and the Tuff Trucks from Waynesfield Raceway Park. Last weekend, Pleasant Hill's Matt Westfall earned his second career modified win at Eldora. He also took the checkered flag on Sept. 4, 2011.

Shady Bowl Speedway: A full schedule is slated for Shady Bowl with the late models, modifieds, tuners, compacts and Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association. West Liberty's Gary Eaton (tuners) and New Carlisle's Kenny George (compacts) scored victories last week.
