LeBron talks equality, kneeling: ‘My voice is more powerful than my knee’

Monday was Cavaliers media day, and LeBron James addressed topics ranging from the eventful offseason to Derrick Rose to social issues.

The latter provided the most powerful response. James supports NFL players kneeling, but notes his voice carries more weight.

James added he wished he owned an NFL team because he’d sign Colin Kaepernick immediately.

When asked about President Donald Trump referring to Cavs owner Dan Gilbert as a friend, James said that wouldn’t impact his relationship with the organization. But he added he wasn’t sure if Trump’s comment was accurate.

James said kneeling isn’t to disrespect the flag or military, it’s strictly about equality. James was in the news recently for his tweet about Trump when the president uninvited the Warriors to the White House.
