Torrance Gibson announced Thursday he is leaving Ohio State and going to Cincinnati.

A four-star quarterback prospect from south Florida, Gibson signed with the Buckeyes two years ago, moved to wide receiver and redshirted in 2015.

He was suspended by the university last year, a decision OSU coach Urban Meyer said he opposed at the time.

Gibson told ESPN he plans to attend junior college in Cincinnati then continue his career as a quarterback for the Bearcats, who are in the first year under head coach Luke Fickell, a long-time Ohio State assistant.
