Mark down another state title for the Midwest Athletic Conference.

And a first for New Knoxville.

The Rangers won their first state volleyball title Saturday, rallying to beat MAC rival St. Henry 22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19 in the Division IV championship game at the Nutter Center.

Carsey Henschen had 19 kills and six blocks, Avery Henschen added 13 kills and 11 digs, Ellie Gabel dished out 37 assists and five service aces and Haley Fledderjohann had 11 digs to lead the Rangers (27-2).

St. Henry, which finished 22-7, was led by Chloe Gels (18 kills), Brianna Siefring (17 kills, 12 digs) and Lydia Werling (42 assists).

It’s just the second state title overall for New Knoxville. Its boys basketball team won state in 2008.

The championship is the 21st volleyball title for the MAC and the 143rd overall.
