Obi Toppin earns Atlantic 10 weekly honor for third time this season

Dayton forward averaging 19.5 points per game

Dayton Flyers forward Obi Toppin shared the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week Award with Virginia Commonwealth forward Marcos Santos-Silva.

Toppin averaged 22.0 points and 6.7 rebounds in three games against North Florida, La Salle and Saint Joseph’s. Dayton won all three games by double digits to improve to 13-2 and open Atlantic 10 Conference play at 2-0.

Toppin has won the A-10 award three times this season. He’s averaging 19.5 points per game, tied for 38th in the nation. He ranks 14th in field-goal percentage (63.2).
