Ohio State drops behind Michigan in Vegas' college football playoff odds

Ohio State is not the favorite to represent the Big Ten in the College Football Playoff next January.

That distinction now belongs to Michigan according to odds provided by Bovada on Friday morning.

They find the Wolverines, who have not won the Big Ten in over a decade, at 9/5 odds to make the CFP.

The only teams with better CFP odds at this point are defending national champion Alabama (3/2) and Oklahoma (7/4). The Sooners play host to Ohio State in September.

After the Wolverines, Ohio State and 2015 national runner-up Clemson both have 2/1 odds to make the playoff.

The next-best odds in the Big Ten belong to Michigan State – a 2015 playoff participant along with Oklahoma, Alabama and Clemson – at 10/1.

Ohio State and Michigan both had 12/1 odds from Bovada to win the national championship in mid-January, but the Buckeyes rose to 6/1 in February. Those were the best in the country at the time.
