Trotwood-Madison defeated Toledo Central Catholic 16-7 last Friday night at Alexander Stadium in a Division III high school football state semifinal.
The win sends the Rams (14-0) to the D-III state championship for the second straight season. Trotwood (14-0) will play Dresden Tri-Valley (13-1) for the D-III state title at 8 p.m. Saturday at Canton’s new Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
It was the fourth straight year Trotwood and TCC (11-3) had been paired in a state semifinal. Last season Trotwood lost 30-0 to Akron Archbishop Hoban in the D-III state title game at Columbus.
