Prep football: Badin players commit to NCAA D-III, NAIA schools

Three Badin High School senior football players made their collegiate commitments official this week at the school.

Dallas Krause is headed to Thomas More College, Chase Luckett will attend Ohio Northern and Kegen Rogers is going to Georgetown (Ky.).

“These young men were difference-makers on the football field for Badin, and they will do the same for their college of choice,” Badin athletic director Geoff Melzer said. “Badin is well-known for playing outstanding football, and this trio has helped add to that positive reputation of Ram toughness during their careers.”

All three were first-team players in the Greater Catholic League Coed Central Division last fall as the Rams went 5-5 in Nick Yordy’s first year at the helm.

Krause is an offensive lineman and the son of David and Robin-Angel Krause of Fairfield. Thomas More is an NCAA Division III school in Crestview Hills, Ky. Dallas is leaning toward majoring in exercise science.

Luckett is a defensive lineman and the son of Julie Luckett of Hamilton and Sam Luckett of Okeana. Ohio Northern is a Division III school in Ada. Chase will major in computer science.

Rogers is a linebacker and the son of Jeremy and Julie Rogers of Hamilton. Georgetown is an NAIA school in Georgetown, Ky. Kegen will major in exercise science.
