Miller, who is the third fastest player in NFL history to reach 50 career sacks, has victimized the Bengals four times in his three games against Cincinnati. On three of those sacks, he beat right tackle Andre Smith.
Ware is tied for 11th on the career sacks list with 133.5.
"(Miller) and Demarcus are the best," Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth said. "They're exceptional. I don't know how many full games Demarcus has played (due to nagging back injury), but he still has 6.5 sacks. He's still all around the quaterback when plays. He's an exceptional player. Miller has been really good since the day he stepped into the league."
Miller and Ware are both headed to the Pro Bowl, as is Whitworth, so it should make for some entertaining off-the-ball action watching those head-to-head matchups.
For Ware, this will be his ninth Pro Bowl in 11 seasons. Miller has made it in four of his five seasons.
“DeMarcus has a little more power in his game than he used to,” Whitworth said. “Miller seems like he can do it all. He’s got exceptional speed. That’s what makes it for him. His quickness, his first step. Exceptional. They’re both long, explosive, and they’re special.”
The Broncos ranked ninth in the league last year with 41 sacks, but the Bengals blanked them in a 37-28 win on Monday Night Football. Keeping quarterback AJ McCarron clean in his second careere start will be a high priority tonight.
