Ohio State’s recruiting class shrank by one Tuesday with the decommitment of Danny Clark.

He announced his decision with a heart-felt Twitter post that detailed his lifelong love of the Buckeyes but expressed concerns about his fit in coach Urban Meyer’s spread offense.

Clark committed to Ohio State when he was a freshman at Massillon Washington in northeast Ohio.

He later transferred to Akron Hoban, where he was part of a state championship team last season.

Over the summer, Ohio State added a commitment from Tate Martell, a four-star prospect at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman who is considered a dual-threat quarterback, but Clark remained part of the class at that time.
