The Reds not only snapped a 14-game skid to the Mets, but they finally won a series against them with Thursday’s 7-2 victory.

Notes from Reds’ PR:

  • Joey Votto collected his 139th career homer at Great American Ball Park, extending his own record. It was a no-doubter to right field.
  • Robert Stephenson pitched the first quality start of his career (6 IP, 2 ER).
  • The Reds toppled Mets starter Jacob deGrom, who had a 1.88 day-game ERA going in, the lowest mark in the last century.
