Reds To Sell 1,500 Opening Day Tickets Saturday

The Cincinnati Reds have announced that 1,500 tickets for Opening Day will go on sale Saturday, March 12 at 9 a.m. on Fountain Square in Downtown Cincinnati.

The Opening Day tickets include 1,000 View Level and 500 Standing Room Only to the March 31, 2011 season opener vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.

Ticket prices are $30 for View Level and $20 for Standing Room Only.

There is a limit of six tickets per person. Cash and major credit cards will be accepted.

This is the fourth year in a row that the Reds have offered Opening Day tickets to fans on Fountain Square.

Fans interested in forming a line for the tickets can start Thursday at Noon.

Fountain Square does not allow for alcoholic beverages to be brought in for any event and violators of this rule will be asked to leave.

Reds mascots will make appearances on Fountain Square along with Reds partners and sponsors.

The ticket sale is being held in conjunction with the fourth annual “O’Nati’s Irish Pub” on Fountain Square, hosted by McCormick & Schmick’s. The 2011 Cincinnati St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The tickets are only available on Fountain Square, not at the ballpark ticket windows or on Reds.com.

Last year’s tickets sold out in under one hour.

The Opening Day ticket sale will happen rain or shine.
