HS Roundup 8/21: Beavercreek hangs on 1-0 against Lebanon

Keeper Garrett Arbogast recorded a shut-out in leading Beavercreek to a 1-0 victory versus Lebanon in boys soccer action Tuesday.

Jonah Ackerson netted the lone goal unassisted for Beavercreek in the first half.

Lebanon keeper Kirk Rogers saved 9 out of 10 shots in a losing effort.

Girls Soccer

Fairfield 3, Turpin 0: Alex Goins scored twice and Josie Dattilo once to lead Fairfield to a win.

Milton-Union 7, Brookville 0: Kristen Dickison scored 4 goals and had 2 assists for Milton-Union while Morgan Grudich had 2 goals and 2 assists.

Boys Soccer

Carroll 9, Tecumseh 0: Charlie Thompson tallied three scores and Armando Campos-Ortiz added two more for Carroll.

Centerville 3, Miamisburg 1: Aleks Thomas, Casey Miller and Ryan Forino led Centerville to a win with their goals.

Temple Christian 2, Cory Rawson 2: Caleb Kamper of Cory Rawson racked up 9 saves and Cody Motter had 7 for Temple Christian. Lance Kissaberth made two goals for Cory Rawson.

Tippecanoe 5, Xenia 0: Goals were made by Hunter McGraw, Andrew Baileys and Cam Seubert for Tippecanoe. Two goals were by teammate Corey Abney while Michael Pfister tallied 3 assists.

Girls Cross County

Mercer County Invitational: Chloe Will led Ft. Recovery with a time of 21:42 followed by Haley Alig of Coldwater with 22:22 helping Coldwater win overall. Lauren Hemmelgarn came in third at 22 minutes and 46 seconds for St. Henry.

Springboro Invitational: Hope Erbach of Lebanon came in first for a two-mile race at a time of 12:25 followed by Ashtyn Gluck of Beavercreek at 13:25. Riley McKinney of Lebanon came in third with a time of 13:36 helping Lebanon win overall.

Boys Cross Country

Mercer County Invitational: Kyle Roth of Parkway finished with a time of 18:31 and teammate Matt Gaerke finished second at 18:48 putting Parkway in first overall. In third from St. Henry Blake Ontrop finished with a 18:55 and leading Coldwater Andrew Schoen with a 19:04.

Springboro Invitational: Grant Arnold of Carroll came in first with a time of 10:48.5 for the two-mile race followed by teammate Kevin Agnew with 10:48.7. Thomas Clark of Lebanon came in at 11 minutes even and Beavercreek won overall.

Girls Golf

Fairbanks 217, Northeastern 228, North Union 242: Medalist Shelby Jones scored a 52 for Fairbanks, followed by teammate Allison Kise with a 54 in a tie with Paden Birmele and Brooke Rhoads of Northeastern.

Boys Golf

Ben Logan 175, North Union 188: Ethan Ricketts led Ben Logan with a 38 earning first and teammate Garrett Allen shooting a 41.

Botkins 181, Ft. Recovery 192, Lehman 194: Medalist Cole Gilardi of Lehman led the team with a low score of 38 closely followed by Grant Knapke of Ft. Recovery with a 39. Leading the Botkins team with a shot of 43 was Nick Fischio.

Cedarville 193, Catholic Central 203: With a low score of 39 Adam Wood of Cedarville earned medalist honors followed by Jack Bramel with 44 for Catholic Central.

Dixie 215, Preble Shawnee 217: Clark Miller of Dixie walked away with medalist honors with a score of 44 followed by Carter Stout with a 45. Luke Woodward of Preble Shawnee scored a 49 and Cameron Gadd a 51.

Greeneview 206, Fairborn 233: Matt Hovan earned medalist honors with a score of 48 for Greeneview followed by teammates Eli Beekman with a 51 and Levi Bradds with a 53.

Newton 166, Milton-Union 182: Chet Jamison led Newton to a win with a score of 37 followed by teammate Garrett Peters with a 40. Justin Brown of Milton-Union led his team and tallied 42.

Talawanda 178, Edgewood 208: Co-medalists with a score of 43 for Talawanda were Patrick Geshan and Charlie Faler followed by teammate Austin Goerss with a 45.

Valley View 178, Bellbrook 182: Rylan Craft of Valley View earned medalist honors with a 41 followed by a tie at 42 by Ben Neff of Valley View and Zach Crampton of Bellbrook.

Girls Tennis

Middletown 5, Colerain 0: Hannah Wilson led Middletown in singles against Amber Perkin of Colerain 6-0, 6-0. In doubles Paige Patterson and Katie Pearson of Middletown defeated Taylor Ritzie and Melat Betewelign of Colerain 6-0, 6-0.

Monroe 5, Valley View 0: Julia Peterson, Renee Lyons and Kaytlyn Etler of Monroe all won their singles match. In doubles, Makenzie Moore and Jenna McMonigle defeated Mika Roseberry and Chelsi Rhoades 6-1, 6-4.

Tecumseh 4, Urbana 0: Ashley Fite and Emilee Morris both won their singles match for Tecumseh. While Ady Beel and Kayla Bush beat Ashlyn Dunn and Hannah Loucke of Urbana in a close doubles of 6-2, 7-6.

Girls Volleyball

Bellbrook 3, Tecumseh 0: Sara Rogers led Bellbrook with 16 assists, 5 aces and 5 digs. Ava Ehlinger led Tecumseh with 14 kills and teammate Mac Drews notched 27 assists in three sets.

CHCA 3, Cincinnati Christian 0: Elizabeth Bowling and Caila Nagel both had 4 digs and Emily Hesselgesser tallied 2 kills for Cincinnati Christian.

Coldwater 3, Lima Shawnee 1: Lauren Gilliland led Coldwater with a total of 20 kills, 4 aces, 4 blocks and 13 digs. Teammate Katie Alig helped lead the team with 4 aces, 3 blocks and 10 digs.

Fort Loramie 3, Minster 0: Chloe Stand totaled 7 digs and 6 kills for Fort Loramie while teammate Maya Maurer assisted 25 times. Emily Stubbs aced 2 times with 9 digs and Ava Sharp tallied 6 kills and 1 dig.
