HS Roundup 2/10: Eberhart sounds off in Kenton Ridge win

Tyler Eberhart exploded for 34 points in leading the Kenton Ridge boys basketball team in a 72-61 win versus Greenon on Monday.

Chase Younts added 14 points and Michael Severt 12.

Cade Rice led four players in double-digit scoring for Greenon with 12 points. Jaden Journell tacked on 11.

Kenton Ridge improved to 16-5 with the win.

Emmanuel Christian 34, Miami Valley 32: Justus Channels scored a last second basket off an assist from Fred Shropshire to help Emmanuel Christian move to 17-2.

Girls Basketball

Anna 31, West Liberty-Salem 29: Lauren Barhorst tallied 11 points for Anna. Emily Hollar paced WLS with 13 points.

Chaminade Julienne 49, Troy Christian 27: Courtney Redd put up 14 points and Eve Monaghan hauled in 10 rebounds to pace CJ.

Fairborn 50, Piqua 35: Jodee Austin scored 17 points, Natalie Oktavec 15 and Khala Powell 12 to lead Fairborn.

Mechanicsburg 66, Northeastern 28: Grace Forrest paced Mechanicsburg with 17 points and Lani Wilhelm added a career-high 15. Amy Stewart tallied 14 points for Northeastern.

Russia 49, Houston 28: Kate Sherman chipped in 11 points for Russia. Rylie Voisard led Houston with 10 points.

Seven Hills 86, Cin. Christian 65: Lizzie Grooms poured in 28 points and Briahna Bush added 19 points with 15 rebounds in the loss for Cin. Christian.

Troy 55, Covington 42: Makenna and Macie Taylor combined for 34 points to pace Troy. Tia Bass added 18. Claudia Harrington led Covington with 17 points.

Boys Bowling

Middletown 2743, Talawanda 2187: Austin Smith rolled a 500 series with games of 247 and 253 to lead Middletown. Ethan Rowe added a 480 series and Matthew Minor a 473.

Girls Bowling

Middletown 1935, Talawanda 1048: Emily Cupp rolled the second best series in school history with a 490.
