HS Roundup 9/6: Monroe boys soccer shuts out Badin

Monroe boys soccer beat Badin in a 2-0 game on Thursday evening.

The two goals for Monroe were made by Dario Cruz and Benjamin Griffis with a shutout from keeper Cassidy Kelly.

Monroe improved to 4-1-2 record and Badin falls to 1-3.

Girls Soccer

Anna 9, Coldwater 0: Taylor Kauffmann from Anna made 3 goals and Taylor Noll shot one and had four assists. Amber Stewart also had one goal and 1 asssist.

Waynesville 3, Milton-Union 1: Two goals for Waynesville were by Marcella Sizer with one assist from Jenna Foley and Megan Handle had one goal. Caitlin Jones made the goal for Milton-Union.

West Liberty-Salem 9, Southeastern 0: Emily Hollar of WLS made two goals and assisted two. Teammates Grace Estes made two goals and keeper Amanda Domachowski saved two goals.

Boys Soccer

Alter 1, Mariemont 1: Griffin Miller made the goal for Alter and was assisted by Joel Bockelman.

Dixie 4, Middletown Madison 0: Leading for Dixie, Connor Timmons and Cooper Gentry both made two goals followed by Nick Emrick with two assists.

Girls Golf

Ben Logan 169, Indian Lake 255: Mailiis Simovart led the field with a 34 for Ben Logan followed by Sydney Wesson who tallied a 36. Leading for Indian Lake was Caitlin Young and Kayla Cummins shooting a 63.

Fairbanks 222, Southeastern 238: Leading Southeastern and earning medalist honors was Rylee Harrington who recorded a 50 followed by Shelby Jones of Fairbanks with a 53. Tied for third from Fairbanks were Allison Kise and Mary Weisburn with a shot of 56.

Fort Loramie 199, National Trail 201: Mekenna Jones took home medalist honors shooting a 39 for National Trail and teammate Makena Laird recorded a 53.

Lebanon 157, Middletown Fenwick 195: Maddie Owens of Lebanon earned medalist honors with a 34 followed by Grace Swartz and Kaylyn Brown with a 38. Leading for Fenwick was Meghan Utterdyke with a 40.

St. Henry 182, Ft. Recovery 226: Earning medalist honors from St. Henry, Ellen Naumann scored a 38 followed by Elizabeth Rockwell recording a 45. Leading for Ft. Recovery was Janlyn Bruns who shot a 52.

Triad 220, Madison Plains 255: From Triad Olivia Butz and Anna Nott earned medalist honors scoring a 52 and teammate Shelby Sheets tallied a 57.

Boys Golf

Bellbrook 163, Waynesville 166: Earning medalist honors for Bellbrook was Ryan Wehner with a score of 37 followed by teammate Hunter Turner with a 38. Leading for Waynesville was Noah Lindsey recording a 39.

Cedarville 189, Triad 195: Adam Wood earned medalist honors for Cedarville and scored a 43 followed by Cole Pond of Triad with a 44.

National Trail 216, Bradford 236: Austin Knapp led National Trail scoring a 48 and teammate Tyler Porter recorded a 54.

St. Henry 167, Ft. Recovery 203: Co-medalists from St. Henry were Jack Romer and Andrew Mescher recording a 40. Leading for Ft. Recovery was Grant Knapke with a 43.

Talawanda 167, Edgewood 216: With a score of 39, Talawanda teammates Trey Hubbard and Charlie Faler earned medalist honors.

Girls Tennis

Lakota East 5, Middletown 0: Leading for Lakota East were Megan Hoke, Grace Holtmeier and Sarah Cope who all defeated their opponents in singles. In doubles, teammates Ellie Leisten and Allison Romito beat Middletown 6-2, 6-0.

Girls Volleyball

Bellbrook 3, Oakwood 0: With 12 kills and three aces Kira Merkle led for Bellbrook followed by Mara Neal with six kills and nine digs.

Ben Logan 3, Urbana 0: Emily Skelley had eight kills and Mackenzie Bean tallied six kills and 10 digs to lead Urbana.

Cin. Christian 3, New Miami 0: Leading for Cin. Christian was Emily Hesselgesser with seven kills and nine digs and Taylor Whitton made five kills and three digs.

Coldwater 3, Parkway 0: Leading for Coldwater was Lauren Gilliland with 15 kills, two solo blocks and three block assists. Teammate Katie Alig tallied three block assists, two aces and 13 digs.

Dixie 3, Madison 1: Abby Morningstar had 10 digs for Dixie followed by Madison Simon with 10 assists.

Eaton 3, Valley View 1: Maley Tinstman led Eaton racking up 42 assists followed by Kayleigh Michael with 14 digs and six aces. Match scores were 25-16, 21-25, 25-17 and 25-13.

Ft. Recovery 3, Minter 1: Minster had a great first set with a score of 25-22. Leading for the team was Danielle Barnhorst with 10 kills and eight digs followed by followed by Josie Winner with 13 assists and two kills.

Mississinawa Valley 3, National Trail 2: Tristen Bowers and Lexi Stiner for National Trail both had 11 kills while Bowers added three aces. Teammate Angel Bowers racked up five kills 16 assists and two aces.

Tippecanoe 3, Xenia 0: Rachel Wildermuth from Tippecanoe had eight kills and 15 blocks. Teammate Abby Hughes made three aces and 15 digs.
