Sinclair baseball ousted from NJCAA Division II World Series

The Sinclair Community College baseball team was ousted by host Northern Oklahoma College on Wednesday in the NJCAA Division II World Series at Enid, Okla.

The Tartan Pride rallied for five runs in the eighth to cut an 8-1 deficit to two runs, but NOC scored two in the bottom half of the inning to hold on, 10-6, in the double-elimination tournament. NOC also defeated Sinclair in the tourney’s opening game.

Colin Shepherd had two hits and two RBIs and Malave Bettinger added a two-run double for Sinclair, which finished 49-9.

NOC advanced to face top-seeded LSU Eunice on Wednesday night.
