It looks like Stanford upset USC again.

In a bit of a stunner, former Cardinal quarterback Kevin Hogan is listed as DeShone Kizer’s backup on the Browns’ quarterback depth chart. Second-year signal caller Cody Kessler was expected to be the No. 2.

Jackson said Kessler will have opportunities to earn the No. 2 spot, but Hogan was more impressive in camp.

The Browns drafted Kessler in the third round from USC two drafts ago.

At one point, Kessler appeared to be competing with Brock Osweiler for the starting job. Kizer upped them both, and Osweiler, a high-priced veteran, was released.
